The Tribes of Billion: Introducing Ikija Tribe
Over the last two weeks, you have met the Madina and Wura tribes. You already know so much about these two tribes, and there won’t be any reason to bore you with details about them.
In this week’s introduction, we are happy to introduce you to Ikija tribe — the ones popularly termed as troublemakers…lol. Yes, trouble makers because they love war, and are men of war indeed. They have recorded more conquests than any other tribe, and we will get to learn many weeks from this post, they will play an instrumental role in a future conflict (take that as a hint with a pinch of salt). So, let us dive right into the unveiling of the Ikija Tribe of Billion.
Ikija Tribe
The Ikija tribe is a ancestrally known for war and contest. Often perceived by neighbours as troublemakers, the people of Ikija tribe have long held a high affinity for cross boundary conflict, all of which they returned victorious save the Honti war which cost them 30 warriors and the Gusto strip. The Gusto strip is now occupied by Creo tribe, leaving the people of Ikija with next to no hope of regaining it. Legend has it that Sepoiqa — the god of war — took a nap in those two hours of fierce battle that forever deprived Ikija tribe of the Gusto strip. Sada, the great sea goddess, had seduced and caressed Sepoiqa to this ill-timed nap that left the warriors of Ikija without supernatural assistance in battle. Since that historic occurrence, the warriors of Ikija have kept abstinence from women from seven days to battle.
The Legends of Ikija are the fiercest and most valiant of all men, wielding both stature and skill which send shrills through the spines of enemies. Akilapa the famous legend of Ikija attacked a troop with a ram’s horn, killing and maiming 900 fighters. Shinta is a respected female Ikija legend who once led 5 warriors to overthrow Satinu, the oppressive Ikija ruler and then installed Lexok, who was the rightful heir to the throne, as ruler of the people of Ikija. Surutu is perhaps the greatest of the Legends of Ikija who is now elevated to the designation of a Tribegod. Centuries ago, Surutu led the Ikija tribe to conquer the Kijati plains, from which they derived their name. At a time when the battle was grim, Surutu invoked the secret magic of triumph known only to three people in all of Ikija — the ruler, Dagunra the great socerer and a third person no one knew. That day revealed the third custodian of the secret magic of triumph. As with history, Surutu joined his ancestors 3 hours after they had the victory. He is considered a legend for his sacrifice and for preserving the agelong secret magic.
The gods of Ikija are dreadful and fierce. Words have failed historians in attempts to describe the dread worn by Elun, Avemo, Kiriti and Ku, the gods of armory, whirlwind, thunder and stone. Of course, there’s Surutu, the god of triumph and Meka the god of boldness. These gods ensure the continuous victory of the Ikija tribe everytime they go to war.

Once we are done unveiling the 7 tribes, we will delve right into crafting the story. We will begin this in earnest with a core group of scriptwriters and creatives in our Discord server.
